'Speech and Language Therapy: A Parent’s Guide' is an in-depth course designed to provide parents with a comprehensive understanding of the field of speech and language therapy. This course explores the fundamental concepts, theories, assessment techniques, and intervention strategies used to evaluate and treat communication disorders.

Throughout the course, parents will develop a strong theoretical foundation in speech production, language development, and communication disorders in their children. They will learn about the physiology of the speech and hearing mechanisms, as well as the normal processes of speech and language acquisition.

The course will cover various communication disorders, including articulation disorders, language delays and disorders, fluency disorders (such as stuttering), voice disorders, and communication disorders. Parents will gain an understanding of the etiology, assessment procedures, and evidence-based intervention techniques for each of these disorders.

Throughout the course, parents will have the opportunity to observe and interact with their children with communication disorders through supervised experiences. These experiences will provide them with hands-on learning opportunities and the chance to apply the knowledge and skills acquired in the house. This course is for those parents whose children are of 10 years of age or under.
